    Hi All,

Having just experienced Krell and heard the Pass Labs X1000's a while ago I'm intregued by what this will do with my current speakers.

After I get my ARC's fixed up with new valves I think I'll hunt down the X600's. Anyone got any experience of Krell versus Pass? (not interested in the Aleph series as I believe these are very different). By the way I do love the ARC's they've a special place in my heart that I may go back to.

Any other amps you'd be looking at in the price range i.e. below £6k? I'm not going for valves for a while unless ARC Ref600's turn up really cheap!

    Thanks, Tim

P.S. Am I the only one who's car is worth tonnes less than my hifi!?

Pass labs <> nice Krell, bags of smooth natural power, an upmarket M/F, great mid mad voicing.
Just what those Digits fly on the electric meter :D

    Hi All,

ARC's are V140 monoblocks... circuits are perfect but new valves are on the way. Sublime performance, best I've had in my system so far.

    Hi wadia-miester,
I suspect the 1k mono's will be wildly out of my price range... thanks for the offer though, getting to the X600's will be a push!.

I believe Nick at the emporium, has some?, I had a 350X for a while, got that cheap £4k, not idea what the 600's are?
The mono's are from a good friend of mine in the US, so shipping might hurt in more ways than one :D

Shipping! Let alone the poor guy(s) who has to pick them up!

Can't see them at Emporium. really isn't sensible me asking either, I'm 100% certain they're way beyond my price range.
