:) Dear all, Your thoughts on the following please. My Pioneer pdr609 went wonky after two good years service, wouldn't recognise discs, recorded everyting on one track 74 mins long etc, etc. Anyway, took it for repair to Richer Sounds, got the loan machine, waited, and waited. Service dept tell me the pioneer after two years starts to ignore anything with a Phillips chipset, and so won't record. They have seen several examples of this. It's as if a millenial type bug is built into the machine. Has anyone seen this weird behaviour in hardware before? I'm left with the option of a replacement (same type machine), or money back. My concern is that the same thing will happen in two years time, and then with no guarantee, leaving me well out of pocket Any thoughts gentlemen?
