I have an Ibasso DX170 which I love and the sound is fantastic using I.E.M's the output is sufficient to drive them even on the low setting.
I bought a "proper" set of over ear headphones , a pair of RODE NTH 100 but the DX170 doesn't really have the power to drive them so I am lookng for a desktop amp. I was advised that an IFI nano idsd would do the job so I bought a SH one off ebay but it doesn't work, it is like the music is speeded up and clipped so I will be sending it back.
Can anyone advice a desktop/portable amp which is not overly expensive that will work with the DX170 . Thanks
