    I like mine a lot. The tonearm is the same that is used on their much more expensive models, so you seem to get good value there. I would change the 510 cartridge as quickly as possible though.
    My wife likes the look of it as well...

    It's quite harsh and tinny and not very exciting. The turntable really derves better. Before I changed the cart I listened to cds more than lps. Now, with my new cart (Goldring 1042) I have a couple of unplayed cds lying about.

    Yes. I used a Ortofon 510 and would agree. I found it bright and undynamic. Brighter than CD, I reckon. Must have a treble peak. A Goldring 1012gx was much better and a 1042 better still. A much fuller and more dynamic sound.
