Just bought a cheap old pair of speakers by RAM electronics LTD of Norwich. They're model: 100 Monitors according to the label.
Does anyone have an idea as to how old these speakers are; and any info about them and RAM in general??

    Cheers

    Tom

nothing on the site about RAM but I see they're both from Norwich so hopefully they can tell me something.
Anyone with an old pair of RAM speakers that they fancy selling please get in touch as I'd be up for purchasing some more, if the 100s are anything to go by anyway!!

Yes they did. Probably the rarest of the LS3/5A's (together with Audiomaster). The licence then went to Goodmans, although Falcon did apply for it but got turned down. However by this time the consistent production by Kef of the B110 unit was getting problematic.

From the same range I once had a pair of RAM 150 speakers. They were large stand mounters with an ABR. I got them cheap when the company went toes up around 1976.

falcon are sending me some info and can suppy some parts & X-Overs, which is nice. Were RAM any good then - I take it they must be if they had a LS3/5A liscense - having listened to my 100s quite a bit: they sound amazing with some music and terrible with others; which seems strange...
