When, and where, is your local record fayre? Since many of us travel across the country for different reasons it may be that we could tie in a visit to a fayre while on the travels and maybe find something we wouldn't in our local area.

A list on here would be a good reference I think so I'll kick off with those local to me, HenryT, lhatkins and domfjbrown.

Grim northern towns...

I believe there is one in Wigan on the 28th of this month, but I don't know any further details. When I find out the details I'll update this post.

A very good friend of mine who runs an online shop called Pink Moon Records ( http://www.pink-moon.freeserve.co.uk ) runs a great quarterly fair in New Brighton at the Victoria Hotel which is very near the station. The next two are Sunday 7th Sept and Sunday 23rd Nov. There are always lots of stalls knocking LPs out at 2 quid or so with a surprising amount that is worth buying ââ'¬â€œ I always come back with a large stack.

Tony.

Yo Ian - that August fare is the week after I move FULL TIME to Exeter, if everything goes according to plan! Time for a celebration hey? :) You'll be able to hear that NAIT then as well...

For Southampton, Portsmouth, Bristol and a few other places...

http://www.tvmusicuk.com/ although the site doesn't seem to be up today.

It's usually the last Saturday of the month at The Guildhall, Southampton.

It's usually the last Sunday of the month at Jurys Hotel, Princes Street, Bristol.

About half my CD collection has come from the Southampton fair.
