Hi first post, I am struggling I am using my time to finally get my 57's sorted. I have a burnt treble panel and have removed the audio transformer all I need now is to remove the red 1.5Kv feed from the EHT block. However internet instruction say simply de-solder the wire but about 2" is covered by a thick black rubber sleeve and i cannot see a solder post underneath, anyone had a similar problem. I'm tempted to cut wire further down the length and re-solder/sleeve it during assembly as I am concerned it may snap at this junction and render re-connection impossible
Would be very grateful for any help
