Soundbar HDMI problem

    Hi - I have a Sony Soundbar model HT-G700. I had it hooked up to an LG 60UF7300 TV via 4K HDMI cables. Everything worked fine for a few months. The sound started skipping and then the video would also drop out and come back on every few seconds. I seem to have it solved by switching to a digital optical cable but would like to have Dolby Atmos and Dolby TrueHD. Any ideas as to what might have caused this? The TV was purchased in 2015 so I'm wondering if this could be the problem?
