While I am trying to sort out my speakers, dodgy driver, I am going to alter/change the speaker cables. Currently using a 3 cable set of cat 5 cable and can either increase the number of cores to 6 to make it up to the match the TNT FFRC cable, or what?, I am open to suggestions. The equipment is All Cyrus, with a pre to mono amps all with PSX power supplies and Impulse Lali speakers. tia Tony.

I'd say if it's cheap enough by all means have a play.

It's not something I'd spend serious money on personally.

    Each to their own though.

Happy listening, hope you're enjoying the Impulse speakers.

I was using Triple T cat5e cables and liking them.
Then I tried their Ubyte recipe http://www.tnt-audio.com/clinica/ubyte2e.html
In IMHO this is a big step up in clarity, attack and detail.
I do use 5m runs of cable though, so the difference might not be as big if you only need say 2.5m each side.

Yes ...I agree went down that route 5 years ago [maybe more now ] the ubyte stayed for about 3months till I built some magnet wire ffrc

It was from that root that I developed my own ...which are several long paces forward from the ubyte.. though even diy, the materials are not cheap and they are not to all tastes.

I'll post a simple recipe on the DIY section asap.
