    Few things MOre painful!

Toes, like fingers, small. Yet stub them the wrong way and ouch!

Took about an inch of skin off one of my toes and a bit of blood

worse is when you have a bit of an over long toenail and scrape it the wrong way or snag it whilst distractedly pulling on a sock and you end up yanking it part way off so it flaps about. you're then faced with the dilema... stick it back down and plaster it up, hoping that the plaster doesn't come off in the night and leave the flappy toenail to the mercy of the duvet OR. grit your teeth against the pain and yank the thing off at the root leaving you with a slightly painful rubber toe that feels wierd to walk on for a while.
this invariably happens to me on holiday with vicious, unfamiliar hotel beds suddenly leaping out at me when i'm drunk.
    cheers
