Can anybody point me towards a good online resource for building passive and active sub's for home audio use?

    Thanks.

I can think of 2 or 3 here that have. Try PMing Vikash, Rory and ShinOBIWAN. I'm sure there are others that I can't remember at the moment.

What sort of sub do you want? One that goes super deep for home cinema, one that is fast and tight for music, a biiige one, a small one? It all changes how you design it. Personally I like sealed subs with powerful big cones and a dedicated amp. Kind of like Velodyne. You can get away with quite small enclosures then as well because you EQ the bottom end.

Do you have the bits to measure the subwoofer and tweak it after you have made it? Or will you need to follow a design that you know will work straight off?

Basically I have a 15" 300w speaker kicking around and thought it might be something useful to use it for!

It would be for my audio system.

I'll have a proper look at it this weekend.

I'm also looking for a design that I know will work straight off if that's possible with the minimum of tweaking. Want to concentrate on the building rather than the tuning.

    Thanks for your help btw.
