  1. Hi!
Does anyone have experience with these monitor-speakers?

Not the brightest monitors out there, I'd say... I find them a touch
    lacking in the higher octaves.
Apart from that, they sound good. Bass is fine, considering the size,
    localization is fine, too....

I'd personally tend to use them as unobtrusive living-room speakers
rather than as monitors. Or at least only as a second opinion.

If you are looking for a modern (slighlty brighter) mix, that might be
just the thing. If you also check your mix in the cans, you will know
right away if you have it too bright. Same with the bass. If your
monitors have more bass than the 6.5's, your mix will lack in bass.
They are my main mixing speakers with many others for second opinions. I
think they are as good as any for monitors on a budget. Of course I
wouldn't master on them. And I don't like them as living room speakers,
though I have used them as surround speakers in a pinch.

  4. I have three sets and have used them since they were first released.
Virtually everything I have mixed in a variety of studios for the past 7
or 8 years has been mixed almost solely on Tannoy 6.5 or 6.5 mkII.

People around here who have received copies of some of my work or
bought this groups compilation CDs, have heard the results. I believe
they are one of the finest 6" monitors ever made. The imaging is wide
and the low frequency response is far better than advertised... high end
is very detailed and they are not at all hyped in the mids. Clients have
sat beside me time and time again and confused this little speaker with
    the main CR monitor system.

    They definitely get my thumbs-up.

I worked on them in a couple of different rooms voer the last few
years. I found them to be my choice in one room, over ns10 and some
JBL NFM's he had. Only thing I liked better was listening on the
    811's he had soffit mounted.

In another friend's room he had the small Alesis as well as the
TAnnoys and my choice was definitely the TAnnoys.
