    ok,
if you could only own one album by a given artist which one would it be.
for starters here's a few from me to get things started.
    Grid - Evolver
    Infected Mushroom - The Gathering
    Yes - The Yes Album
    Iron Maiden - Killers
    Metallica - Master Of Puppets
    KLF - Chill Out
    Massive Attack - Mezanine.
    N.I.N - Broken.
    Orbital - Orbital 2
    Underworld - Everything Everything
    Prodigy - The Prodigy Experience
    Shpongle - Are You Shpongled?

    you get the idea.
No compilations or best of's it has to be a full album as origionally released although live albums are ok at a pinch.
    cheers

Mr Stick, I'm glad you appreciate this album also, Though clearly your opinions on, Led Zeppelin, Dylan and RHCP are somewhat skewed.

With the obvious caveat - (out of their albums that I have heard !!). Some very difficult decisions though.

    U2 - Joshua Tree (All)
    Bjork- Debut (several)
Led Zep - Physical Graffitti (all)
Floyd - probably Dark Side....(vast majority)
    Zappa - (f***ing loads)
Budgie - Bandolier (but Impeccable is right up there) (all)
Porcupine Tree - Lightbulb Sun (all)
Massive Attack - Blue Lines (all but last)
Red Snapper - Our Aim is to Please
    Lucinda Williams - Lucnda Williams
    Radiohead - The Bends
    Leonard Cohen - Various Positions

    Dark Soho - Sun spot
    Astral projection - Another world

    Suzanne Vega - Solitude standing
    Incantation - Cacha Paya (spelling???)
Panterra - Cowboys from hell (before they got all serious)
    Soundgarden - Superunknown
    Jellyfish - Bellybutton

Pulp - His 'n hers (which I don't own unfortunately)
Beatles - Revolver (does all SPLHCB does, better, and earlier)
Portishead - Dummy (wish they'd release the Mercury Music prize TV programme version of "Over" too, but can only dream :()
Pink Floyd - Piper at the gates of dawn (bored stiff of DSOTM)
Massive attack - Blue lines (including the last!)
Kate Bush - The dreaming (flakey, kooky weirdness at its best - even better than Never for ever :)

glad to see del the funky homosapian getting a mention, though is that the album with mr. dobolina? if not, then i agree on the artist, but not the album... also noone has mentioned blue lines by massive attack, which is SO vastly superior to mezzane and and protection. never heard the hundredth window, but is that REALLY massive attack with only del naja?

ok thankfully people have mentioned blue lines....

Saw them at Bradford St. Georges hall in '86 (and a few times before and since). Went back-stage and got my program signed by messrs Franke, Froese and Haslinger, but all I could think of to ask them was what they thought of the English weather.

    Starstruck muppet. :D
