What, in your opinion, is the biggest (new!) bargain out there; the one item of hi-fi equipment that goes way beyond its price in terms of knockout performance? A true giant-killer basically.

I'm reckoning the Denon DL103's got to be pretty near, if not actually at the top, of my list. :)

My £150 Marantz CD6000 OSE LE Gold (yes what a mouthfull) has been very good for the £150 I paid brand new for it. Its a proper decently made CD player using some high quality parts that cost the same as an entry level Sony in some shops.

hmm.. yeah a lot of the stuff from China like Cayin valve amps, Shanling CD players, Ming Da preamps... there are lots!

I think the Behringer DEQ2496 is a damn bargain as well, but maybe that?s not hi-fi. It does basically have a super DAC inside it though.

Personally, I would have to say the

    Rega Ear - Headphone Amp.

I don't personally own one as yet but for the price it is the bargin of the century.

My mate got one for Christmas and, quite frankly I am stunned out how good this little box is for the money.
