Talk about smouldering looks - she's gorgeous! :jig:

Verity Sharp, one of the presenters on BBC Radio 3's "Late Junction". And you thought Radio 3 was full of stuffy 57 year old men in tweed jackets and bow ties :)

sorry but she looks like she's been hit with a baseball bat. her lips are swollen and she's got a nose like a rugby player. nice eyes though in a brooding kind of way.
    cheers

I reckon that together Fiona & Verity do indeed make an ideal latenight double act for most R3 listeners.

Yeah, she's doable, but much moreso if she'd dye her hair brunette or red (dark, not ginger) and wear a hat too ;)

Seriously though, yeah, very broody and sultry but possibly also approachable too - I'm with Julian on the lips though... Her nose isn't so bad... :)

Probably... She certainly comes across as very laid back and unstuffy sounding... I'm sure she must dabble in the ways of the weed, but that's only my opinion! ;) She spent some time studying at Dartington, IIRC, and you know what a hippy-trippy place that is. :MILD:

Oh, and "Late Junction" isn't strictly a classical music show, if at all. Definitely worth a listen if you fancy something a bit different let's say.

Don't know what she looks like, couldn't find any images on The Net, but was listening to "Rock Chic Nic" on Planet Rock last night... Man, has she got a nice voice.

She has a great voice as well as being beautiful, having great taste in music, and presenting the best radio music prog in the UK. Impressive lady.

I'm certain she speaks very highly of you lot!

I'm afraid Verity is a complete turn off for me, or rather a normally turn her off (story of my life, but in this case more literally). When on LJ she tries so hard to be hip, clearly aiming to have the enthusiasm and gab of Kershaw, but really doesn't have a clue. When doing classical intros she's probably worse. She's clearly got a serious muso background, so why does she always sound like she's reading words she's never seen before and doesn't understand?

Different story though with Fiona Talkington and Stephanie Hughes (lovely soft Irish accent), who mostly know what they're doing. OK so they probably appeal more to the 'discerning punter'. And the sultry tones of Lucy Duran (on World Routes) are well worth a listen. Susan Sharp is also great for keeping you company through the night! The cutie though has to be Claire Martin, although she's primarily a jazz singer (and not entirely natural as a radio presenter, but lovely "in the flesh"), so doesn't really count.

For classical cuties, the top of my list has to be Helene Grimaud , although she's a bit barking, keeping wolves as pets. I was also well impressed this summer by Katarina Karneus, Natalie Klein can be worth a gander too, and the new kid on the block is Janine Jansen. If you want something a bit tartier though, there's always Sarah Chang or Vanessa Mae......or Bond if you must (but they're more pop than classical)
