Hi,

I thought it may be a good idea to break up the audio hi-fi topics into component specific directories such as:

Amps
Preamps
Source
Cables
Speakers

It may be easier to navigate and find the posts of interest that way.
 
Hi bifcake - experience here and in other forums has shown that having too many rooms leads to dilution and it's hard to "follow" the forum. In some other forums that have much more traffic than this one it can be helpful so that minority topics aren't immediately swamped but here a new thread tends to stay on the first page for at least a day or two so it isn't really a problem.

They do this over on the WHF forum and it's w@nk IMO just leads to people posting the same thread on several forums to try and get a reply.

As you say Michael, maybe onb a forum with 1000000000000's of users, but less is best me thinks :D
 
Sometimes when I try to browse for a specific topic, I find it a pain to have to peruse through all other posts in order to get to what I need. It just seems easier to organize it by topic and ask the users not to post a specific question in more than one forum. If you have more than 100 ACTIVE users, I think it's worth considering.
 
perhaps if we post with a specific word such as cables, amps etc in the title for easy searching?
