    Not bad for a Noob . . . . . .

First thing - that side stick or whatever it is thats being used as a
click - replace it with a closed high-hat or tambourine or something like
that. Try to imagine that you're a percussionist being asked to accompany a
singer / guitarist playing "Michelle" - what sort of instrument you gonna
use to provide a nice gentle rhythmic backing to the track ? Bet your life
you wouldn't choose a horrendous "Click Click Click" on the side of a snare
    .. . . . . .

If you've got The Renaissance reverb a nice hall reverb on the whole mix
    will sound cool . . .

Try a Renaissance compressor on the vocals - Start with the presets, and
adjust by ear, but always raise the output gain until the yellow light is
    just illuminating on peaks - this'll warm things up nicely. . . . PSP's
Vintage warmer is my current fave on vocals - they may have a demo version
on their web site if you wanna give it a try . . . .

I'd also suggest listening to the original track a little more - some of
your guitar chords are incorrect, and create a dissonance with your voice.

    All the best !
