"Texture & presence" -- honestly! What a load of nonsense. It's amazing what happens to ordinary people when they think they know about something.

    chord, bryston, gamut, plinius?

Chord make good amps no matter what anyone says. Too expensive though.

Nope the mani multiphase effect can skin a fluffy cat at 25m.

Well, obviously not, because they are made-up, meaningless magazine-speak. I just get music, don't know about anybody else?

'Presence' I can understand, in terms of oopmh and such, but 'texture', other than in relation to material for speaker grilles has always baffled me.

The word "presence" is usually used to mean a part of the audio spectrum in the treble, I think. Obviously all speakers are "present" in the room, otherwise you wouldn't hear them.

    "Texture" is total b'lox, m'lud.

Nope - so far the praise seems somewhat restrained. Polite even. Anyway everything is relative.
