5 years ago maybe, can't say I agree now. The worst of them all seem to have all gone out to buy Audi's now.

I've said it before and i'll say it again, i dont reckon they are any worse. However i do tend to notice it more when they do something wrong than anyone else due to their rep!

I have always driven on the basis that BMW stands for bad mannered wankers, that way I have always been prepared for their awful, selfish driving.

I'll end up buying a BMW, if this goes on.

Can't say as that makes me in the slightest bit jealous. It's just another saloon car to me. Personally if I had the money I would buy a true sports car for my fun and then a boring hatchback to drive around town in. No doubt BMWs perform very well, (well at least the top of the range ones do - the bog standard ones are nothing special at all), for what they are. But to be classed as a true sports car they'd have to loose a hell of a lot of flab. I view them in pretty much the same way as I view a Clio 192 etc.

Fair enough, don't buy one, then. Or get two: a one-series, and a Z4.

As BMW say, It's only a car.

Have a BMW dealer living behind me and last month he brought home a "Z4 M Roadster" (the one with the ~ 330hp M3 engine).

I had a drive, quickly s**t myself and was trembling for about an hour afterwoods.

I now think BMW drivers arrogance is partially justified after driving that (although don't the 3-series outsell Mondeo's now so they are hardly exclusive anymore)

Most BM drivers are respectable but its surprising just how many 40 or 50 somethings with a said car suddenly get all insecure and try to stamp down their car as somesort of 'extension'.

Its pretty funny actually because they never stood a chance:

Jap imported Subaru WRX STi v.2 'Tommy Kaira' limited edition with 305BHP.

I had some chap in a Porsche Boxster try it on the other day on the way home from work, right up my arse for about a mile, then got to a roundabout and decided he'd try to nip in front before the exit. Didn't happen. A little later on he decides to try again only to find himself on the wrong side of the road with me leaving him behind. Really funny thing was I had 2 work mates in the car with me and this guy was solo in his 'sports' car.

Doesn't happen very often but its nearly always the older drivers with presitge cars that seem to have a go. So I don't think BM drivers are any worse than anyone else. What they should have said is "The worst drivers are those that drive like nobs".

Just noticed your number plate. Goes well with the general "ASBO" demeanour of the car.

Was the number plate chosen by you, or did it come with the car? I fear I already know the answer...
