Well, it's someone's address. The street ties in with the post-code according to www.multimap.com.

yessss, yesss preciousss, it is bona fide address,
I checked it on autoroute, too. Apparently, he is trying to sell MY ATCs to someone for that paltry amount:mad:

ebay protection means sweet fanny adams...if you get robbed, there is nothing they can do, the other party can refuse to talk, they are a toothless puppy

just read the ad carefully to see the grammar is not cocha, or the other bits...shipping taxes, post anywhere free, will make a gift if we close the deal, etc..

I don't understand, is he showing a photo of your speakers? Where do they get these pictures?

If they are from forums like these then we should start posting pictures of complete bollocks, but act all serious that the pictures show the best HIFI on earth, clearly these people dont have a clue what they are 'selling'

Surely that could be taken as proof that he is at the address listed?

Ask him (to see his reaction) if you can come personally to pick the speakers up and pay cash.

    It's spelled "kosher" btw ;)

Is that an e-mail he sent you? Has all the hallmarks of a scam.

Address and name don't tie up on 192.com but he could be using a relative's address.

Offer to pick up in person with cash and you'll never hear from him again :)

    Michael.

The format, poor spelling/grammar and "reply me soon" "trust me" theme is very similar to the 30 or so scam emails I received after bidding on a pair of EAR Monoblocks. All claiming to have "this unit" for less.

The scam email thing seems to be to be expected on higher value items. It seems to me this is the same thing but actually using ebay instead of mailing people from outside ebay.

How often does a legit seller post their address like this?

    Scam scam scam.

If you actually had these items, would you advertise on the net where to come and steal them from?

I'm sure this will come as no surprise but I did a quick search (using some software I have at work that lets you look at the householders names at any given address) and no "Danny Porini" comes up against the address given. The two names that do come up are not even similar - probably just some middle aged couple who have no idea their address is being misused.
