My wife has decided I have too many valve amps, so I have to reluctantly sell this unit. It doesn't do more than about 5 or 6 watts per side, but will amaze you with its retrieval of detail. It is an excellent match for the old Monitor Audio R352's and has a lean bass that complements their tendency to boom.

For those that are interested, the EL84's are triode connected push pull and the amp runs in class A.

The amp is 6 months old and has the original Sovtek EL84's in it. They still have loads of life in them and haven't started to roll off. I have replaced the drivers with GE 2C51's but will include the original 6N3's (they sound decent but are microphonic).

This is the newer version with very decent input & speaker terminals and a valve cover. It looks like new.

I paid about £150 for the unit new and will accept offers around £115. I have the original double box and can ship within the UK (shipping extra but will be reasonable).

Pictures of actual unit now added below:

    Another picture

This one shows the connectors at the rear. The amp also has a matching valve cage that attaches magnetically and looks good.
