Ok just played through a cd without, with small isofeet and with the large 45mm dia isofeet with 8mm dia balls .....

Its clear these do more than the smaller units....by a small but significant margin. These are an absolute winner !

I've had stillpoints under the quad 99 without them making the slightest difference.....also sorbothane pucks, vectuer cones, tender feet large and small ....none have had the impact of these .....

Hi all, I have been trying a set from David and they did make a difference, for the better, I then used the idea and using a larger diameter wood piece approx 25mm and 10mm high, and used 10mm ball bearings this made the whole assy physically more solid and secure, in terms of sound it tightened all aspects with a more dynamic feel accross the board. Its not night and day but certainly the equilevent of a successfull ic change. For what it costs to make your self its well worth a go. I tried it under my amps but this made no discernable difference so they are used just under the cd player.
    Regards
    Tony

Got a set of these from David at the weekend. Thanks very much David! And yes, as others have said, bit better seperation, more space around instruments, definite improvement. (In my case gear is on a StandsUnique stand with glass shelves, CD is a Pioneer PD-S703.) Simple and effective!

That's better, but a bit too small for my needs. I trawled ebay the other day and couldn't find anything at a sensible price!

I put the set under my pre-amp, but I'm not sure it has made any difference.
I don't think they will take the weight of my cdp (18kg) - so I might have a go at making some bigger ones at some point.

dave sent me a set of 45mm dia 15mm high I used 8mm ball.....these were huge step forward.

I think these may be the aesthetic limit of the size you can use.

I thought about a cheap circular chopping board with three balls set in the top ....would be interested if anyone wants to take this on .....I'm a little busy at the moment.

Yes can confirm that this latest configuration comfortably outperforms oak cones, both small and large. So a big thumbs up for a great idea. This has to be the best VFM upgrade available.
