So you're a post man now then:) I wouldn't mind doing that job (I've had years of experience) but dogs might be put me off as you can't avoid posting a HM letter just because there is a dog in hall waiting to bite your finger off.

I'll see how it goes. I'm **really** not a MOrning person though. I worked 7pm-7am nights for about 10 years. So i'm just looking for something completely different. Outdoors and early starts are about as polar as it gets to previous work.

I'd applied for loads of conservation type jobs, but no driving license or experience meant I was getting nowhere. And not earning enough to get my driving license.

So I'll stick at this and see how it goes.

9-5 induction thing next wed's and thur's... then a 6am start on friday!!!

Tonight I shall be MOstly working in an
indie/music bar

I hate drunk people :)

Good luck with it, as the saying goes nobody screwed up their lifes for being a postman, but if you deliver to a bored house wife you may get screwed :D

at, a weekend in dublin or amsterdam is hardly world travel. trust me, you will regret it later on if you have any hedonistic urges unfulfilled by the age of 25. if you want to see ayers rock, machupichu, kai taur falls, las vegas, the beaches in krabi, hong kong, tibet, mt kailash, antarctica, whatever floats your boat, the time to do it is now, when you are young and have few responsibilities, cos they pile up like bastards later on. at the moment you are able to live on a pittance, turn your hand to anything that will pay a few quid and able to live out of a rucksack for months. in as little as 10 years time you'll have a bigger waistline, responsibilities, less puff and a huge ****ing regret that you didn;t go and do stuff with your life. also getting some is much easier if you are tanned and have a wealth of interesting anecdotes from around the world.

save your pennies for a year, buy a round the world, open ended ticket and go and live, you might even meet some peope who could help you along with your dream of a club or you might just come back with some new ones.
ian is not just blowing smoke up your arse here he's casting his pearls, make sure your not a swine.

sorry for the rambling, i've just been watching 'where the buffalo roam' so i'm infused with the spirit of gonzo, unfortunately i'm fat, out of puff and aproaching 40 so i can;t do **** all about it. never mind have to pedal harder tomorrow.

Any good? Seen the double boxset the other day and was going to get it.

yeah, i got the double box set (for the bargain price of £5.97) as i was after fear and loathing on dvd as i only have it on vhs.
it's surprising how similar murray and depp are in their portrayals of the good doctor (and also del torro and boyle as his attourney funnily enough). they tried to make it a 'biopic with a story' and it kind of worked but there were some odd bits, which i'm sure make sense if you've read more about the good dr than i have (i tried to read fear and loathing on the campaign trail but it bored me as i didn;t live through the period however, hells angels, the rum diaries, the curse of lono and of course fear and loathing in las vegas are about all i've read). overall worth watching if you like that kind of thing - and i'm assuming you do. funniest bit has to be the interview with nixon in the bathroom, a load of eulogising from murray to which nixon replies 'the doomed? fcuk 'em' perfectly summing up politicians the world over. ooh i'm comming over all gonzo again. run and buy it you swine...
cheers

julian.
