Downright stupid
I'm looking (again) at buying a new telly, but am unable to find what I'm after.
I want a 26" screen as 32" is not required and I don't want the tv to dominate the room. What I'd really like is a tv that I won't need to upgrade in a couple of years if full HD becomes the norm (if it ever will). I do intend to get a blu-ray dvd or perhaps a ps3 at some point.
So, looking for a 1080p 26" screen by reputable manufacturer with good picture and acceptable sound - they all seem weak on sound tbh, but I don't want home cinema and can connect up to hifi for good 2 channel for films etc. so all I need is clarity on voices from the tv speakers.
Did find reviews of the Samsung T260HD, but it seems to be primarily a pc monitor, and is not consistently referred to as full HD.
Actually I went into my local Comet (I know, I know) to talk to someone about best screens etc and blokey there said that there were no 26" full HD screens available by anyone. Was he talking bollocks? They had a 32" 1080P Panasonic Viera on offer for £450 or so, shame it's too big!
