MF use 3 pin DIN plugs to power their small x-v3 range.

Can anyone tell me what the pin connections are?

    Thanks.

get your self a dmm !

I think the connections are if you view the plug like a smily face
ground being middle and the other two live ...as its an ac connection there is no polarity

several people have built silver leads and say they can hear the difference.

If you need information on tweaking v3 dac or buffer stage contact me.

    hi zanash,

i've changed most the caps in the x10v3 and also the diodes. i was wondering if there would be any benefit in increasing the value of the np output caps?

also i am contemplating making some power cables? any suggestions on how to make a good one?

i do have a xdacv3 also but not used very often. if i was to mod that it'd have to be better than my marantz sa-11s2.

the xdac v3 is rather closed in and nasal sounding .....it can make seriously good sounds with minimal effort !

I've moded about 5 of these now ..

the 10xv3 .... well it does like better resistors I tend to use dale vishay in the signal path....but there are better sounding ones out there.

has yours started to burn the pcb ?....look for discoloured tracks about 2'/3 up

you can find my write ups for thee mods if you search the diy section
