Lansche bought and then developed the 'Corona' tweeter, how do you find your Accapellas ,they usually exhibit at the 'de-luxe' Munich spin off show, they always sound pretty decent.

i have had them for about 10 years and I like their clear and accurate presentation. They are driven by big Boulder pre and power amps to give lots of control and they do excel in the midrange and high frequency stuff - Miles ' trumpet sounds fab they are very true to the original sound in my opinion particularly for natural instruments - piano, brass, strings, woodwind and human voice - they are pretty good with rock but that's not really my main focus although I do enjoy rock in which case I tend to use vintage12 inch red Tannoys (driven by Leben) for that or my Loth-X Polaris full range (driven by Viva 845 in winter or Croft Twinstar 4/5 in summer) which are a very natural and involving listen and play everything well - whoops I am digressing here!

Just to allay any fears about the creation of Ozone with Lansche loudspeakers, this is a reply from Lansche.

'Our Corona tweeter does not emit ozone due to the following reasons:

    1. The temperature in the combustion chamber is kept higher than 350 degrees centigrade.

    2. The electrode is surrounded by quartz which acts as a catalytic converter, converting O3 (ozone) to O2 (oxygen).

    3. It also does not emit any positive or negative ions. This is due to there being only AC on the electrode and the high temperature.'

    best regards
    Götz
