The most active users was 54 on 25th November 2003. It seems a heated debate is what is required to bring in a lot of traffic.:)

This site moves so fast that by the time I made my second reply the record had been broken again. Zerogain has to be one of the most popular hifi forums on the web now. It seems busier than Groovehandle but then I guess people were still using the HFC site then.

Its a hell of an achievement, and I am taking nothing away from that, but its nowhere near the most popular just yet.

FYI, Headfi is actually the most popular hifi community on the web - an even greater achievement considering nobody really gives a shit about headphones it seems.

Yeah Headfi is a bit too busy for my liking though, you can hardly keep up with it. I think at the moment zerogain has the right balance.

It's nowhere near the busiest hifi forum on the net...and I don't paricularly want it to be either. You couldn't really classify AV Forums as a "hifi" forum but it's WAY busier (at this moment 307 active users  ) and they've got nearly 20,000 members.

I don't know how many purely hifi forums there are on the net, particularly UK "based" ones. This is the only one I'm aware of that isn't linked to a parcticular product/manufacturer/magazine/re-seller or a particular hifi "ideology" (eg Pink Fish forum).

Michael.

And that's why we love it so :MILD: .

I wonder how much you'd get for a little ebay pop-up? Or perhaps an online casino link? :p :p :p

dont even think about it!

pop ups my arse !

(oops, i think that came out all wrong:))

Don't worry - no ads coming here :MILD: I was tempted by Google's new "context sensitive" ads (which are text only and very discreet) but I don't think ZG would meet their criteria - particularly in the area of "lewdness" :D

Also, I said we wouldn't have ads so I'll stick by it :)
