we went for a drive down to Middleton in Teesdale and I filled up the car en-route and we parked up for a couple of hours...

got back and the car wouldn't start... :(

now...in the past I've normally been with the RAC who when I've had problems (as I normally do driving auld bangers!) they've done their very best to resolve the issue on the spot - and in every case have...they about 18 months ago I got a call from the AA with an offer to join them for 33 quid - I jumped at the chance... :)

anyway - today they send out some old hillbilly (independent company - not AA) who agrees with me that the car has indeed conked out and he'll take it to a garage for me!
yeah, and he's going to charge me 60 notes for the privilege (me own fault tho for only having roadside cover), but he was initially only going to take my car home - I asked what the hell for as I'd only have to pay another 60 quid to take it to a garage from there...
anyway - the car's sat outside a local mechanics...not sure what the problem is - but when I tried to start it - there was nowt - he said there wasn't any sparks or nowt... :(

What car is it? Some cars seem very prone to coil pack failures.

yep...the only thing I could think of was maybe something to do with the petrol I'd just put in..? I had filled the tank up and used an independent garage beside where I live, then drove about 25 miles and parked up for a few hours...

when I tried to start it - nothing happened...
