Aiwa TS_W7 connections?

I have just bought a 2nd hand Aiwa TS-W7 sub woofer I would like to connect it to my Yamaha DSP-E800 I have just connected with the black RCA plugged cable to the Yamaha sub woofer and the input 1(From super woofer terminal)I can't hear anything! but there also speakers in and out connections. Does anyone have a wiring diagram for tha Awai. Please? Or how to test the speaker.
 
Do you have the sub set to take its input from the line level RCA as opposed to the speaker level connections?

Ahh well, the switch looks like it is set to input 2 (the speaker terminals) set it to input one (up position) if you are using an RCA input. Also make sure the volume is up on the front! Obvious I know, but....
