Any one know their 2WW planes?

Cheers.

It ws probably a fly past for the west mid at shrewsbury.....may get a report from the local rag tomorrow.

nice one(s), LT.

What camera were you taking thoses on?

Its just so frustrating i'd dropped the pixel count down THIS MORNING as I say for mailing stuff and its the first time i've done that!

I guess thats why, in my haste I forgot to reset it....which wouldn't have been at all difficult to do.

Were you taking those (your) shots with a telephoto or have did you edit them after.......or both?

My camera is a Lumix DMC-FZ7 with a 12x optical zoom on max res, but remember I was right next to an air show, which made things a little easier :). I was gutted that I missed the chance to get pictures of the old bomber (think it was a Lancaster) that was circling round just as I arrived. This year I'm going to get there earlier! I was quite impressed to see how well the camera did capture the planes travelling at such speed, but I dumped more pics than I kept - lots of pictures of tails and no more! I found it difficult to keep up with the aircraft when using the zoom as it doesn't seem so easy to follow a fast moving target using the LCD screen, I think it would be easier with a camera that had an optical viewfinder or a better digital viewfinder than mine.

Anyone trying to take good pics of aircraft or anything else should try 1 of these film cameras.

what is it...a leica?

i need to have the pic that day....patience was never a virtue....so its got to be digi.

I know all to well the disads of using digis for moving targets......+leaving on a low pixel count...

I was at the west mids show on Saturday, a very good day out. I also got a cracking deal on some Teak furniture for the garden. I also saw a spitfire following a Messerschmidt (ME 109 I think), a couple of weeks ago when the Cosford airshow was on. They had to cancel lots of the display because some goon in a microlight had wandered into the airspace! Amazing buffoonery of the highest order.

I like this one from la_toilette's collection.....

LT, does you camera have a functionwhereby you can take several shots in quck succession. I think mine does but i'm not sure as I could find the function quickly, in a hurry. The trouble is I use my camera too infrequently to really become properly familiar with the menues.

Cracking shots though LT. I wouldn't grumble at that. Like the diving spit close to the end of the row.
