Was goofing around whilst the wife watched that awful holiday programme where they shout at each other a lot and saw THIS on epay.
Do you reckon he'd let me have it for a quid?

Do you reckon he owns it at all?

It's got that funny smell all over it

The seller has 100% feedback on 622 transactions, so it's probably legit.

It'll go for more than a quid though.

It says 'restricted to pre-approved bidders or buyers only.'

What's that mean?

Hell.. I'd pay £10!

True but even so you think some people would have put proxy bids on it. He is not going to sell it for anything like that anyway even if it has no bids. I know he has a legaly blinding contract to sell it but if that was me I would have put a reserve on it.

£350 with 8 mins to go ... let's see if there's a mad rush at the end
1 min 3 secs, no change - and i'm in the perfect sniping position.
except i dont need a turntable (just now).

10 secs to go hadn't changed, and then 2 snipers appeared ..... £523.

Or..

Something I bodged together in me garage.!

price is now on the steep side I think, for something homemade - all IMHO

To be fair bottle it looks to be very well made.

I wouldn't have sold it on ebay though, and put a few carrige returns in!

Reg - Are you sure he doesn't have a legal obligation to sell it at the finishing price whatever it is? I thought this was basically a part of the eBay terms and conditions to which every buyer and seller has to agree to, hence it would be strictly a binding contract?

Nope - there's no legally binding obligation to sell at the finishing price. You can come up with all kinds of excuses like "it was stolen", "I broke it" etc and no one is going to investigate the truth of it. You could even just say you changed your mind. eBay might suspend you and if they don't you'll certainly get negative feedback but that's about all.

Michael.

I know what you say happens in practice Michael, but if someone was really bothered would they have a contract they could pursue legally or not?

Crap taste in music, check out Norah :-

Martin - I'm not sure. I think anyone who tried to pursue a failed eBay purchase through the courts probably woudln't get very far.

Oi! Watch it Andy! I've got that Norah album....and I don't mind if I do "check her out" :D

Michael.
