shame as I would have got it today for my birthday,

 

I'm afraid I have never understood how any of that can be relevent to a potential purchaser. One could argue that's it's none of the purchaser's business.

My original answer of 'I no longer want it' is closest. I could equally say I no longer need it.

For what it's worth:

I no longer need the ability to spin CDs because my Audiolab now does that.

I no longer need the multi-region DVD-Video capability because my video recorder has now been multi-regioned.

I no longer need DVD-Audio capability because I now have the ability to rip those.

I don't own any SACDs anyway and have only ever borrowed one.

This Arcam is rarely switched on and might as well go to someone who can make better use of it.

Does that help your buying decision? No, I didn't think it would. Oh well.

 

Seems that those pesky blighters at Sevenoaks are having a run-out on these which is making mine look slightly less good value than it otherwise might. How annoying! So....
