Are these any good?

I keep seeing these popping up on ebay and they seem in my price range but are they any good? How much did they cost when new and how old are they? And what did they sound like?

I heard some of their kit a couple of years back. Totaly different styling to that and looked much funkier. How did it sound? Well can't remember too much, but I didn't buy it

about 1993-1996ish
from what i remember, on a par with the dac in a Marantz CD63se (£350 player then)
i personally wouldn't bother- your Sony 570 would probably better it, and even so you'd have to contend with toslink connections :laser:

definately 2nd that...had one with a marantz cd 63, and the xtrnal dac wasn't quite as good as the dac circuitry inside the marantz...
interesting company tho, shame they are not still going...

they are actually, and i have the successor to it, in a manner of speaking- the Audio Alchemy boys basically teamed up with Monster Cable in the USA and formed Entech. I have an Entech dac which is quite PHat imo and apparently Tone will have one too shortly...
