Just come across a pair of Art Audio Quartet monos for sale, so will be putting my Art Audio Tempo monos up for sale, complete with 2 Border Patrol mb power supplies.
The Tempos use 4 5881 or EL34 valves per mono, one ecc82 and one ecc83 per mono, these are General Electric 83`s and RCA cleartop 82`s. I have 8 Sov 5881 wxt valves, and also a virtually brand new set of 8 matched JJ E34l`s. Each mono is triode connected, and outputs around 20w of pure class A bliss. These sound super clear, clean and very tight in the bass....very powerful too, will drive most speakers with ease, and they work with active and passive preamps, currently using a TVC. Top notch Sowter trannies are used throughout. These are very quiet, hardly a hiss from the tweeter, and no hum whatsoever...the quietest tube amps i`ve heard.
The Border Patrol mb power supplies are valve rectified power supplies and use Mullard GZ37 rectifiers, nearly new and cost a bomb now. They are The mb power supplies, using larger trannies and supplying more current than the standard p/s`s.
The amps themselves have been upgraded with silver wiring, and Audio Note silver rca and speaker terminals, and have taps for both 4 and 8 ohms.
The Amps and Power supplies are both current models and retail at £7.5k... Alternative Audio have them both in stock, speak to Pete for his opinion on them.
I am asking £2.5k for the lot. The amps themselves are mint, unmarked, and the one power supply is mint, no marks, the other has a slight mark on top of the casing.
Pick up will be essential from the Wirral, as these are Heavy, delicate and i do not have the packaging.
Thanks
