Hi there, everyone.

Since we have been happily discussing phonostages of late, and having read that thread with interest, I wonder if you can help me.

Came across this phonostage - ASR Mini Basis - and given that it seems pretty good value I wonder what your impressions, if any are on it. I saw some good comments about it on the asylum... but of course I value your opinions! :)

Anyone here heard it? Compared it with anything else?

I prefer it over the Basis exclusive. great valve for money. I have not heard the new Gold board version. It's supposed to be even better.
 
I don't know the minimax but Hifi world rated the Anatek over that (yes I know i sell Anatek but this is in context) but I rate Anatek over the ASR.

(ps: I knew you sell Anatek. We all have our jobs, it normally doesn't affect our hearing... ;) At the end of the day you have heard a number of phonostages and that experience is valuable. You can't sell everything and obviously you will choose things you liked. This does not mean you do not like others, hence the question. I appreciate your answer, thanks!)
 
If you were to run you cartridge in balanced operation then the AQvox is one to look at.

As you are in Germany have a chat to Thomas at TW acustic as he has listened to most things.
 
Hi Guys,

Quick question: has anyone compared the PS Audio phonostage with the Anatek? Any thoughts? On the face of it they both cost around the same money...

Has anyone compared any of these two with an Icon Audio PS1?
