Maybe I shouldn't sell this but needs must I think..and time to stop hoarding. A bit of PU7 history!
Here's a photo from when I first brought her (hate to genderise, it's only a thing really!) home, on my PT Export:
I'll take fresh photos when I get home today.
A 10" PU7 with Linn mounting - black headshell and bearing housing, rose gold arm tube, brass bearing covers, stubb and counterweight. A hotch-potch of finish options I know but it was a prototype - I think Johnny was testing gold plating hence the rose gold armtube. Anodized black bearing housing has a bit of a blue hue to it in places too.
Best of both worlds I think in terms of the 10" arm length, about the longest that will still fit on most decks - I have had this mounted on a PT Anniversary without even a need to get a new armboard made, simply turning the Linn one through 180' was a perfect fit!
Getting an 10" PU7 made up new is going to cost some £2050 in most basic form. With gold, £3000!
Cardas 33 all the way through on mine with about 1m long external wire.
Going to ask £800 ono as the PU7 has been improved since. Johnny also does trade-ins against new arms (thought it would be rude to ask him how much just for my ad) so perhaps this is a great opportunity to try-out before buying a new version?
