The Sunday just gone was what used to be called the high-end show. Did anybody go? I have to admit it completely slipped my mind. I've not seen much mention of it so I wonder if it was a very empty show?

Simon glad you said "used to be " this was without a shadow of doubt the most dire show I have attended since I got into audio in the mid 1980's, I would nott be at all suprised if this turns out to be the final London show judging by the lack or interest from both trade and public.

These shows seem to be far better attended outside of the Uk.
What are they doing differently?

Maybe because there are more people interested in Hifi outside UK.

Munich is great because of the size but also because of the big(ger) rooms.

the great LONDON HI-FI SHOWS from the early 70's in places like OLYMPIA, EARL'S COURT and various holyday inns all over london, were a superve experience, i will not comment on northern or south west shows, as time went on to have the great heathrow show mags took control of running those shows in advantage to their financial purpose ,various mags jump in as well as manufacturers who eventually stopped giving a toss about joe public, distributors abroad were more important then uk dealers or uk customers, the great london heathrow show died years ago in ramada etc with hi-fi news .
