I want to share some photos of the up-coming Kensai MKII speaker to wet your appetite.

    Advancements since original Kensai:

    • 85dB sensitive (+2db over MK1)

    • Enclosure using damped plywood sides following BBC research on cabinet materials. Critically braced at resonance modes after accelerometer analysis. The whole cabinet is a good 10dB quieter than the MK1.

    • Crossover lowered to 1.9KHz from 2.2KHz in MK1.

    • Physically time-aligned 'leaning' cabinet.

Well now I know! Whet as in sharpening on a whetstone. I always thought it was wet as in salivating.

Price will probably be around £1600 inc. VAT for the UK. The Kensai MK1 has been £1500 for 3 years.
