I have investigated loads of sites for a suitable stand but am getting nowhere.

I need a stand to take 40 inch plus plasma, have my large center speaker on one shelf, take a Sky Box, DVD player and a large / tall AV Amp.

Can anyone point me in the right direction please? Best price as well please. Mounting the screen on the wall is not an option for me.

    Thanks Lester

take a look on avtalk and avforums.... they should have some answers....

also, you looked at Ikea..? - they do some decent stuff, tho, not sure if it'll fit all your stuff (i.e. centre speaker) tho...

partington do a great rack, with the standard two shelves double width AV unit, but with a plasma mount attached to the rear

you would have enough space for a large TV... centre speaker on top surface of stand under the TV, and a shelf for all your kit.

    Not a cheap solution though.

I cheated... i have a soundstyle rack... and bought a plasma stand off ebay on the cheap.. it sits behind the rack and looks spot on. I dont have any pics at the moment though.

heres a pic of the partington....

i just replaced my older soundstyle rack with one of these....

    http://www.avland.co.uk/soundstyle/wg3av/wg3avslrg.jpg

the reason being, both my accuphase amp, and turntable are quite a bit larger than standard width components, so even on a double width rack, i can only ever fit one on the top shelf at a time. But ideally with the heat the class A amp generates, i needed both on the top.

The new rack is wide enough for almost 3 components across the top, or in my case... two very large ones nicely spaced.

adjustable middle shelf, solid construction and good looks... and it was a bargain.. found it on gumtree locally for £50!!
