Got some interesting kit or system you want to demonstrate to other members?

Want to host a music day/evening?

Want to arrange a listening session or group review?

Like to get members together for a curry, or perhaps a night at a good pub for some team bonding ( :) ) ?

Is there something you'd really like to hear that another forum member might own?

Post your ideas and request here - don't be shy.

One demo that I'd like to hear -

Wyred 4 sound
vs
Weiss dac
vs
Audiolab cd/dac
vs
twisted pear dac

4 different implementations of what many people consider to be one of the best DAC chips around.

who has what folks? m4 corridor?

No a lot of interest in this.
I'll remove the sticky - dead stickies just cause clutter.
If it suddenly springs to life we can reconsider.

I can offer a bake-off for anybody wanting to hear some DIY horns (TAD), and valves.

Due to neighbours (soundproofing work not complete yet) it would have to be a week-day day time bake off.

I'm thinking couple of hours during the day, a lunchtime bake off.

Would probably suit self-employed, retired, or other who can get time off in day time.

Location - Reading, there is parking.

If interested send PM.

Day time events are difficult to generate interest in unfortunately. For most people that work, a weekend event is the only realistic option.

Hi Ynmoan

Yes, I fear you may be right. We will see how it goes.

If there is no interest I can try after soundproofing work is carried out in a month or more.

If anyone fancies a little get together in December (three + me max) I'll do a burning vinyl to hard disc themed day. Just showing how it can be done and what results you can expect.

Nothing heavy, emphasis will be on having some fun and a pleasant day with drink and food provided.
Post or PM if interested and we can fix a date.

Rob.

I am interested. I could do with a definitive guide to vinyl recording. My efforts are getting better but still variable.

Andrew.

Good stuff chaps, I'll look at sorting something.
Dec if possible but definitely Jan if not as I know Dec can get a bit hectic.
