Bbc Tv Licence!!?

    amazing thing happend, when i sent my anual chq. to pay for the licence they sent it back as the figure was short of 7d, had very threating call today, now i do not have terrestial ariel, upset i got with this person and ,with very little luck of the english lenguage, i said what is the meaning of "FREEVIEW" as i have that and sky, he said it is ilegal to watch any transmition via both without licence paid to the bbc, mind bogles,

    Don't worry, TV detector vans cannot TV detect, and as the licence fee collection company is just part of the BBC they have no legal right of access to your house.

    So as long as your tv can't be seen from the street- **** em.

    Worth every penny - look at the radio output as well as TV, not to mention one of the best sites on the web.

    Irrelevant, and soon to be much reduced in favour of the stuff we actually pay our license for. It is a TV license, not a TV, radio and web license. That said, I am happy to pay my license, but see the other services as unsustainable unless they can be self financing.

    Let's rename it BBC license then ;-)

    No adverts(apart from the BBC) - that's also well worth it!

    'Unsustainable unless self-financing' - that's not a mantra for a public service/educational institution!
