The FM acoustics phono stage came back a few weeks ago - now setup for MM. Since that time I have reconfigured my stepup for 26db gain (to remove the need for loading caps or resistors as much as possible) and set the dip switches for 22k input resistance on the phono stage (10k-100k available). A 1m cable on the output of the stepup is providing the necessary capacitance to make the emt well behaved. Hey presto! Its all finished.

So its time for that bake off. Anyone is welcome who can bring:

    a) a preamp

    b) a phono stage

    c) silver S&B stepup or tvc.

    d) auralex pyramids.

Tenson is of course exempt from these conditions by virtue of being too cool for words!

Time and date to be agreed after everyone is signed on.

Perhaps not a good time to organise a bake off then:D.

    Enjoy it anyway.
