Otherwise, it seems just like using a very good Linux machine. I hope that doesn't offend.

My feelings exactly – OS-X is Unix / Linix, but with a nicer GUI, better application compatibility (i.e. you can run Word / Photoshop / Logic / Dreamweaver etc) and proper driver / hardware support. This is why I like it so much.

Dev, one thing you will soon learn is that often software is not required.

The N70 is fully compatible. Plug in a USB bluetooth module and set the phone to bluetooth on, the mac will guide you the rest of the way.

OK iGary, it was dead easy. I didn't need any drivers. It discovered my USB bluetooth device and talked me through syncing with N70. Now I have all my contacts and appointments on the Mac. If I feel like it I'll transfer them to my iPod. Just because I can .

At this stage everything I can do on PC I can also do on Mac.
