Best material for hifi rack

Hi , don't know if there are any links on this but looking at purchasing a hifi rack and wondered what's the best material in respect of wood types etc…for it to be constructed from ?

These are my DIY racks, made from pine shelving, with metal rack strips. Had them for some 10 years now.
