Loads over here but we've had it on/off for a week now.
I don't mind it much TBH, it's when the cars/gritters chop it all up that it becomes a hindrance.

Tell me about it. I had to walk half way to uni today because the traffic was so bad. Had to walk from Deansgate to Salford University which is a fair distance in snow.

Nothing down here - bloody good for nothing south-east:eek:

Everyone one that's born and bred local is getting very excited about the fact we "might" get snow. Makes me laugh:)

batfink,
it seems to be blowing in your direction.... and you're welcome to it. it's slowed to a dribble now but the bastard stuff has settled, and right up against my garage door too. this means i've got to fight with the door to get at the coal in there:mad:
see...

You just trying to make me jealous or what??? It was bloody cold here last time I went outside - too cold too snow (but that was 6.30 this morning). No sign of it as yet.

I know what it's like round here though - since it doesn't come very often, people don't know how to drive on it and end up crashing their cars on flat, straight roads:mad: I'd love to watch them try it on some of the hills around the Tyne Valley area (or the Penines for that matter).

It's just started - and everyone's getting very excited (strange people!). They're all staring out the window and worrying about getting home - all for the sake of a few cm's of snow.

Nothing!

My Girlfriends just sent me a text (from east London) saying it's just started really heavy there.

I'm right in the centre of London and all of a sudden there's snow everywhere, what the hell's the point of that?

It's only been snowing for about 30 minutes and already it's settling deep. Prepare for panic buying, it could be the end of the world the way some people have been talking about it. It's almost certainly the end of any kind of public transport, thank god I don't commute.

Just started here with a load of snow with thunder and lightning thrown in for good measure!

Friends were supposed to be coming over tonight. If it carries on like this I suspect they will cancel.

Think you could be right there. Just tried to leave work - started the engine, sat queuing for 10 mins in the car park, stopped the engine, got back out and came back to my desk. I think everyone's gone crazy:mad:

see, i told you, snow blows. awful bloody stuff, not only cold, wet and useless but turns people into idiots too. pah. where's me stockpile of 1980's cfc loaded deodorant, global warming is our friend.

cheers

I would have thought, by now, it was possible to ensure rain, snow, all that kind of malarkey, only happened in rural areas. Serves no purpose in the city, this nature business.

You've cursed us. Its bloody snowing now, and i don't finish work for a while.

I can't stand the stuff. It always manages to play hell with everything, Dom and I are off to London on Friday to see the White Stripes, so it better not screw that up. As we're reliant on public transport it will.

What is the great thing about it anyway? It's bloody cold, wet and there's always some ignorant tosser who thinks it's a really good idea to throw it at anyone passing by... not only that, when it settles everywhere becomes horridly slippery and in daylight everything is too fekking bright.
