bloody valve amps blowing up again

haha!

no female influence on it all I promise.

I was thinking about this again this morning. The sub is coming sometime this week, and it would be madness to change anything till I've heard it all working together.

I then need to ask myself what I want more.. my living room back, or a giant pair of speakers!

Sorry to hear you're having tube issues bottleneck. If you want a valvey sound and fit'n'forget reliability, you could do a lot worse then checking out Pathos. I have a Classic One MkII and it's very musical. All you would have to change is a pair of 6922's every 4000 hours. No biasing and only £30 a pair. Their TT-RR is also a stunner (6922 pre + 35wpc class A output section) and regularly goes for under £2.2k used.

I've turned the whole lot off till my friendly valve repair man can take a look.

This is what I mean though, why be without music?

That is the reality of living with valves, you occasionally get left without a system, unless you carry spare amps.

Just as well I've got two spare tranny amps!
