I have couple of books which may be of interest:
- "Valve Amplifiers" by Morgan Jones (probably the best practical book on understanding and building valve amps)

"The Art of Linear Electronics" by John Linsley Hood (this one is pretty rare, the author probably needs to introduction! Very interesting and includes curcuits of classic Quads etc)
