Rod

I think anyone thinking of buyig it would be wanting to collect. I don't think postage would be cheap!!!

Is this the one Graham N used to own?

Hi Mo, no dont think so.

I cant remember - think it was GTM who has one. He rates it as up with a 2,000 class 'A' amp i seem to recall.

Yep.. It's me. I have a relatively heavily modified one.

They are excellent amps IMHO. They are heavily biased in to class "A", capable of 50 Ampres (measured not theoretical) output per channel. They're unconditionally stable and will happily sit with a capacitor across the output terminals, (I have reliably been informed). Strictly speaking they are 185W per channel amps. But older MF products were rather conservatively rated.

It retailed at approx £2,500 when new, (mid-late 80s), and was very favourably compared to £4,000 Krell amps of the time.

£400 is an extremely good bargain !!, assuming it is in full working order. I'd buy that over any other £400 "upgrade" you could ever get either second hand or new, (if I didn't have one already that is).
