Well its coming up to that time of year again!!! Not long after the Heathrow show and its Bristol time again.

Anyways...I have been given trade access over the past couple of years (as a supplier to the trade), but this year the rules have changed and they wont let me in!!!

You have to be a distributor or a manufacturer.

This means Ill have to go on the Saturday :( and that bites into my weekend.

I am pissed off because I have genuine meetings to plan as it saves me trawling around the country to meet my customers.

Not sure if I want to go now.

Anyone else going this year?

I've already booked my hotel stay for the Sat night, so I'll be there first thing on Sat and will be on the beers in the evening.

Ive checked and the venue will still be open for visitors on the friday. (phew)

It just means that I cant get my nice blue name badge!

I may be on the hunt for purchasing some equipment though! Any good deals to be had at these shows?

Hi,

I might be there but it may be the Sunday this year.

All 3 days!!

I dont fancy that. Waay too many sweaty old men pushing into small hot rooms carrying bags of free leaflets.

I must remind myself why I enjoy going.

Hi,

There is also a Manchester Show is on 7 & 8th of february.

I'll be there on (hopefully) the Saturday.

I think Hi-Fi shows are like getting really, really drunk. You enjoy them for a while, but there comes a point when you're at one that you go 'why am I here, I'm not enjoying this any more?' (as the three thousandth smelly old man in a dirty raincost pushes past you for more free leaflets, and yet another person walks across the room and interrupts you listening by putting on 'Famous Blue Raincoat'!
Then over the following weeks / months you forget all about that and have the urge to attend another one
....repeat ad infinitum....

Failing, maybe the remainder of us who aren't directly "in the trade" could blag our way in as members of the press. After all, we all scribe for this respected on-line audio publication called "ZeroGain"!! :D ;)

PS I'm planning to be there on the Saturday.
