CDs are museum pieces?

MP3 competing for the attention of the music buyer against more traditional media - brilliant news!!

No, seriously, this is good news, because it puts more pressure on the retail market to keep pricing competitive. It might even start to stimulate wider distribution for new music. Bands that wouldn't get a recording contract now have MP3 as a route to break into the mainstream. It could be as big a change as MTV pop videos had 10 yrs ago.

As for CDs being museum pieces - well thats just typical journalistic headline grabbing. 'Freddy Starr Ate My Hamster' anyone? :)
